Crucified by the Caliphate monsters: Amid American bombing raids, Iraqi towns are STILL falling into jihadist hands as they tell terrified Yazidis to 'become Muslims by noon... or we kill you all'

In this shocking despatch from Iraq's frontline city of Irbil, the Mail on Sunday's IAN BIRRELL meets the terrified victims of the jihadists' remorseless, violent and bloody advance through Iraq. In their STRONGHOLD city of Raqqa in Syria they crucify those who disobey (left), while giving awful ultimatums to anybody who won't fall in line with their extremist version of Sunni Islam. They have been particularly virulent in their pursuit of the Yazidi minority, whose people have been left stranded (like the child, pictured right) on barren Iraqi mountains dying of hunger and thirst but too petrified to come down and face their persecutors.
