FOUR students are seriously injured in hospital after a student went on a knife-wielding spree in a Pennsylvania school, stabbing and slashing at least 16 others.
Police confirmed a male suspect is in custody after the multiple attacks at Franklin Regional High School near Pittsburgh.
Those injured were flown to hospital by emergency service helicopters after police and ambulances rushed to the scene.
It is reported that seven of those injured have been confirmed as 15 to 17 year olds with one adult among the 20.
None are said to be in a life-threatening condition.
