Chelsea to splash out £75m to sign Atletico quartet Costa, Luis, Godin and Tiago

CHELSEA are set to splash out £75m in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid quartet Diego Costa, Filipe Luis, Diego Godin and Tiago.

The Blues have already agreed a £35m fee with Atletico for Costa, but are yet to strike deals for Luis or Godin.
Former Chelsea midfielder Tiago, 33, is expected to rejoin the Blues - the club he left in 2005 after just one season - on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Atletico.

And according to reports in Spain, Chelsea will also meet the release clauses of Luis, 28, and Godin, 28, as manager Jose Mourinho begins to shape his squad for next season.
Both defenders have clauses in their current contracts which will allow them to leave the Vicente Calderon Stadium for £20m and Mourinho is keen to get the deals done quickly following the release of veteran left-back Ashley Cole and impending £50m departure of David Luiz to PSG.

Spain star Costa is expected to join Chelsea after this summer's World Cup in Brazil and Mourinho has also identified Swansea City hitman Wilfried Bony and QPR ace Loic Remy as possible strike partners for the 25-year-old.
However a deal that will not be done between the two clubs is another loan period for Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium stopper has spent the previous three seasons on-loan at Atletico since joining Chelsea from Genk in 2011.
Courtois is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea, but Mourinho is now ready to give him his chance to impress at Stamford Bridge.
