A tall order! 7ft 2in villain walks free from jail because he is too big for prison beds

A GIANT criminal escaped being jailed because he is too big for prison beds.

Jude Medcalf, 23, fi red a BB pellet gun at his girlfriend and stole Christmas presents and money from an office.
But the 7ft 2in Medcalf walked free after Exeter Crown Court heard he suffered from the growth disorder Klinefelter Syndrome.

Recorder Adam Vaitilingam QC said the defendant “had a lot of difficulty in life”.
He added: “His condition had caused people to pick on him.”
Medcalf, from Newton Abbot, Devon, was handed a six-month curfew and 12-month community order.
William Parkhill, defending, said: “He is also a target because he is big enough to be seen as someone who it is impressive to assault but immature enough that he cannot deal with it.”
