Oscar Pistorius wanted to buy five more guns before he killed girlfriend Reeva OSCAR Pistorius obsessed with guns and wanted to buy five extra firearms before he killed his lover, a court heard.

His supplier Sean Rens said an assault rifle, a Smith & Wesson revolver and three shotguns were on the athlete’s wish-list.
Pistorius, 27, applied for licences for the cache from South Africa’s National Firearms Centre on January 22, 2013, three weeks before Reeva Steenkamp was blasted to death.
The alleged murder weapon, a 9mm Parabellum pistol, did have a valid licence, the court was told. But the licence applications for the other guns were not processed and were instead sent back to the Paralympian four days after the 29-year-old model’s death.
Mr Rens said Pistorius drew his gun and went into “combat mode” months before the killing after hearing a strange noise at his home in Pretoria.
But the sound turned out to be a washing machine, Mr Rens told the city’s North Gauteng High Court.
Mr Rens said the double amputee runner had “a great love and enthusiasm” for guns. He said he met Pistorius in May 2012, weeks before he made history by becoming the first Paralympian to compete in the able-bodied Olympics at London 2012.
Meanwhile, Reeva’s shocked mum June fled the court yesterday as pictures were shown of the bloody bathroom where she died.
Police snapper Bennie van Staden spoke about the images he took on the night of the killing.
One photograph of the runner showed unexplained scuff marks on his bloodied prosthetic limbs.
Prosecutors say Pistorius murdered Reeva after a row. But he claims he shot her after mistaking her for a burglar.
The trial continues.
