Fans beg CBB winner Jim Davidson to pursue a career in politics
CELEBRITY Big Brother champ Jim Davidson has revealed he wants to go into politics.
The controversial comic, 60, told Twitter fans he aims to be a campaigner for the British armed forces.
He was inspired to take action by an emotional meeting with the family of murdered Lee Rigby.
Jim said: “I wish I could do more. We all do. I’d love to get involved with the welfare of our troops.
“They’ll have to put me in the House of Lords!”
The funnyman was flooded with messages of support urging him to run for Parliament.
Jim, who is chairman of the British Forces Foundation charity, replied: “Jim for PM!! What a week that would be!!!!”

He unveiled a raft of policies he wants to bring in under the slogan: “Let’s make Britain great again.” The comedian said he would pump funding back into the Royal Navy, which he said spending cuts had left a shadow of its former self.
Jim said: “I think we have a great Navy that punches way above its weight. But we need more weight.”
He retweeted a message from a follower who said: “Get rid of Philip Hammond, you’d be perfect as our defence minister.”
And when asked if he would axe the TV licence fee, the outspoken star had a better idea.
Cheeky Jim replied: “I’d get rid of the BB f***ing C!!”
The entertainer was inspired to share his views after bumping into soldier Lee’s parents Lyn, 47, and Ian, 54, at Charlton Athletic’s stadium where fans have placed a memorial to their hero son.
The ground is just a mile from where the 25-year-old was brutally murdered in Woolwich, south-east London, last May.Related articles
