Jermain Jackman has 10 Downing Street in his sights after winning The Voice

THE VOICE winner Jermain Jackman may need to think about a career change… because today he is being touted as a future prime minister.

More than 6million people tuned in to watch the 19-year-old lad storm to victory in the Saturday night's BBC1 final.
The show, which this year saw Kylie Minogue sit in a swivelling judge's chair, should send him on his way to his first album.
However, today, after it had emerged that Labour leader Ed Miliband was among the fans who voted for him, a top job in politics could be his for the taking.
With Ed firmly behind him and Jermain's well-known love for campaigning prompted bookies at Paddy Power to offer odds of 25/1 for him to go on and become the UK's first ever black PM.
They also placed odds of 5/2 for him to become an MP by 2030 and 16/1 that he takes on Ed's job and becomes leader of the Labour Party in his lifetime.
Ed voted for Jermain three times to show his support.
The politician even sent him a triple-whammy of congratulations via text, tweet and a phone call after his win.
Ed tweeted: "Huge congratulations to @JermainJackman. Knew you were an incredibly special singer from the first time I heard you. #TheVoiceUK"
Jermain is a staunch supporter of Ed's party and has ambitions to be the UK's first "singing black Prime Minister".
The 19-year-old from east London has had a taste for politics long before becoming the Labour Party's youth coordinator for Hackney.
Jermain was only 16 when he visited 10 Downing Street with his mum to receive a National Citizen Service award for campaigning against homelessness.
He also warned David Cameron: "Watch your job because I'll be taking it soon."
And it would seem that Jermain has more chance of becoming prime minister than Ed does in being a singer.
Paddy Power have also put sky-high odds of 100/1 to see Ed pick up the microphone for a duet with Jermain.

When Ed's favourite song is rumoured to be A-ha's Take On Me then it's probably not a good idea to engage in a sing-song with him.
You'd be right to think that music and politics are worlds apart but Jermain reckons he can handle both.
He said: "I get called grandad because of the way I act and my interests.
"I strive to achieve both in education and music and I strongly believe that I am able to do both. I'm still young and I like to have many fingers in many pies.
"Music is a massive part of my life, it's what I do. It has always been a dream of mine to sing around the world."
Meanwhile, The Voice host Will.i.am gets a slap on the wrist for breaching product placement rules on-air.
The former Black Eyed Peas singer turned entrepreneur cheekily demonstrated his smartphone watch by answering a call to Cheryl Cole.
By showing off his phone, which is set to go on sale later this year, he breaks BBC rules prohibiting the promotion of branded merchandise.
However, only a muffled sound was audible before the phone appeared to cut off.
Not really selling it, are you Will?
