The former Girls Aloud babe, 30, sent a tweet to the BBC talent show winner saying: “Call me.”
And now Jermain is planning to get in touch.
Cheryl, a panellist on ITV’s rival singing show, called up her pal and The Voice coach will.i.am, 39, in the middle of the live final on Saturday.
“I can’t believe she called will.i.am right in the middle of the show. I’m shocked that she even knew my name”

Viewers heard her on loudspeaker saying how “amazing’’ she thought his protégé Jermain was.
And when the 19-year-old London lad and bookies’ outsider went on to win, the Geordie lass tweeted him.
Last night, the thrilled singer said: “I’m definitely going to follow that up. I’m getting on the case.
“I am a fan of Cheryl. It would be an amazing thing to meet her.

However, although he is single, the deeply religious churchgoer claims their get-together will be to discuss music not love.
