The 84-year-old showed no emotion as he faced the prospect of dying behind bars after he was told he will serve a minimum of three years. He arrived at Southwark Crown Court (pictured right) without his wife Alwen to be sentenced for a string of sexual assaults on young girls. The disgraced entertainer, who was convicted on Monday of 12 counts of sexual abuse, had slipped out the back of his house in Bray, Berkshire, shortly before 7am today before boarding a boat. He was accompanied by four people, including his daughter Bindi, whose best friend was one of the victims. He was convicted of nine assaults between 1968 and 1985 - one on a girl aged seven or eight, and the rest on teenagers between 14 and 19, and a further three in 1986.
