Muslim Tesco checkout worker refuses to sell customer ham and wine - saying he couldn't because he was fasting for Ramadan

Miss Cottle, from Neasden, north-west London, was told she would have to use the self-service counter instead
A cashier at the Tesco Express in Neasden, north-west London, told mother-of-three Julie Cottle, 43, (pictured) he couldn't sell her the products because he was fasting, and told her to use the self-service counter instead. Tesco said it does not have a policy on staff members' religious concerns but has apologised to Miss Cottle for the incident and is investigating.
