But that doesn't mean the bonkers Nicki persona has left the building.
The 31-year-old has released the single artwork for her latest single, Ananconda – and we reckon the cover, never mind the lyrics, needs an explicit content warning.
The artwork is simple enough – Miss Minaj posing in front of white background, sexily looking over her shoulder while wearing a pink sports bra and blue trainers.
Oh, and she's basically naked from the waist down.
In one of the raunchiest pics we've ever seen of the bootylicious rapper, Nicki squats with her legs flung apart while wearing a thong – although it could be a string of dental floss, we're not quite sure.
Showcasing her bodacious backside in all its glory, we're left wondering whether the Pills 'n' Potions singer will be subjected to a booty X-ray á la Kim Kardashian to discover whether curves like that are natural.
The Trindadian beauty is no stranger to stripping for pictures – we all remember her look-at-my-boobs Instagram phase – but her suggestive artwork seemed to offend some people on her photo feed.
But as always, the Young Money crew member was not going to take the hypocrisy lying down, and proceeded to list mainstream modelling shoots that were considered acceptable while her oversexed single cover was not.
These included Kate Upton posing in a minuscule swimsuit for Sports Illustrated, and Nina Agdal, Chrissy Teigen and Lily Aldridge posing topless in tiny bikini bottoms for the same magazine.
Hmm, Nicki does have a point.
