Ahmad Seth, son of Captain Zaharie Ahmad, has "ignored all the speculation" surrounding his 53-year-old father since the plane vanished while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing 19 days ago.
The 26-year-old revealed he and his family are refusing to accept the official ruling that all 239 people on board the plane are dead – insisting they will wait for physical proof of the plane's wreckage.
Speaking to the New Strait Times, Mr Seth said: "I've read everything online. But I've ignored all the speculation.

"We many not be as close as he travels so much. But I understand him.
"Now, we are just waiting for the right confirmation. I will believe it when I see the proof in front of my eyes."
On Wednesday a long-time friend of Captain Ahmad revealed the experienced pilot was "in no state of mind to be flying" after being left devastated flowing his wife's decision to move out of the family home.
There are now reports that investigators believe Captain Ahmad was wholly responsible for the plane's tragic fate.
