How as a child Amy Adams lived a life of heartache as her Mormon mother divorced her father to become a lesbian, tearing the family apart

She lost the Academy Award for best actress to Cate Blanchett on Oscar Sunday but Amy Adams suffered far more horrific losses than the one she endured last weekend.
The fourth of seven children, Adams was born in Italy, where her military father was stationed, but the family moved back to Colorado before she turned 10.
After arriving back in the States, the family fell apart. She was was just 11-years-old when she had to endure the breakup of her family as her parents divorced, leaving her devastated.
Kathryn and Richard Adams, were married in a Mormon temple in 1960 and settled in Castle Rock, Colorado.
