A plane in every driveway! Welcome to the Top Gun village where people fly to work

WE reckon if we lived in this village the commute to work each day wouldn't be so bad.

That's because everyone in the Spruce Creek community of Florida owns their own plane.
Driveways are filled with planes after around 5,000 resident made the former military base their home.
And fittingly Top Gun star Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman stayed at Spruce Creek when filming Days of Thunder in 1990.
The location was ideal for the cast and crew because it is seven miles south of Daytona Beach and the Daytona International Speedway, where the racing drama was filmed.
Signs are dotted around the streets of the All-American village, particularly near the 18 hole golf course where teeing off could be hazardous because of low-flying planes.
Prices for properties in the fly-in community range from £100,000 for a small condo to millions of pounds for a hangar mansion.

“It really illustrates the spirit and vitality of this special community”
A spokesperson for Karlhaus Realty
A spokesperson for Karlhaus Realty said: "The sign that reads, 'Caution, Children and Adults at Play' is the first thing a visitor sees after driving through the security gates.
"It really illustrates the spirit and vitality of this special community.
"Airplanes are everywhere.
"It is possible to drive in the community without realising it is an airpark, yet there is a real airport and even a commercial area in the centre of the expansive tree-filled grounds.
"Newcomers are treated to parties where they meet other residents and quickly join in the Spruce Creek lifestyle.
"In this neighbourhood, an open hangar is an invitation to stop and chat."
