Looking tired but excited, the showbiz multi-millionaires boarded a private jet at Le Bourget, the airport north east of Paris, soon after 11am.
After a week of partying, including a spectacular dress rehearsal for their wedding at the Palace of Versailles last night, they were ready to tie the knot at Ford Belvedere, in Florence.
Asked by a member of the ground staff if they had enjoyed their time in the French capital, where they own a flat, Kim replied: "Yes, we've been made to feel like royalty."
The estimates cost of the on-going extravaganza has been more than $18m (£11m), with the couple using their fortune to open the doors of the finest properties in Europe.
Versailles – a French national monument and the homes of the country's pre-revolutionary kings and queens – would not allow the couple to marry there, but they "negotiated" an extravagant event for family and friends.
Both were said to be in "tears of happiness" as they welcomed around 600 people to the historic Hall of Mirrors.

"They thought it was an awesome place, and really appreciated how much history had gone on there," said one of the American organisers of the event.
Truck-loads of fresh flowers, specially-commissioned art pieces and a troop of Musketeers were laid on for the couple, as well as uniformed cavalry, whose horses wore giant plumes.
Kimye were also serenaded by Lana del Rey, who sang her hit Young And Beautiful, with backing singers wearing Marie Antoinette-inspired frocks and wigs.
The source added: "Lana gave a wonderful performance. She had been practising in the palace all day and she'll be in Florence along with Beyoncé."
From inside the Versailles party, honorary president of the Valentino Fashion House, Giancarlo Giammetti, shared snaps of the happy couple as they took the stage to greet guests.
Giammetti also posted a family portrait of the bride-to-be with mum Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie with the caption: "Keeping up with a great family."

The fashion boss even captured a rare moment with Kanye smiling as he gazed lovingly at his fiancée.
Earlier in the day, there had been a party at another magnificent French home west of Paris once owned by King Louis XIV.
Chateau de Wideville, now the home of designer Valentino Garavani, put on a lavish lunch including burgers, steaks, artichoke hearts salad and poached egg with hollandaise sauce.
There was also baked sea bass featured a mix of vegetable tempura, which is a favorite of North, the couple's baby daughter.
Valentino paid tribute to the couple, saying: "I would love to toast these two beautiful people here before me.
"And I also want to thank Kris Jenner for having these beautiful girls. These girls make my dining room even more beautiful."
He raised his glass to Kimye and, in Italian, said: "I wish you much success, a lot of love, and a long life."
Kim , 33, and Kanye, 36, will marry today in front of hundreds of guests who travelled separately to Italy.
There is one main entrance to the Florence fort, which was today cordoned off from the public.
Kimye got engaged in an American football stadium on Kim's 33rd birthday in October last year.
A 50-piece orchestra and firework display were unveiled after she said 'yes', and no doubt today's event will be even more extravagant
