Yesterday, Mrs Maguire's family told of how she was was such a "selfless" and "caring" person.
They said in a statement: "Our beautiful Ann, our shining light, she brightened the world for so many of us.
"A loving wife, the best mother, a treasured sister, a true friend. This horrific happening has robbed us of all of this and so much more. We are devastated. Her selfless, genuine, caring nature will remain with us eternally.
"Ann we will love you always, your loving family."
Her husband Donald Maguire, 62, who sat in court yesterday with his daughters Kerry, 32, and Emma, 30, kept his eyes fixed on the student accused of murdering his wife.
The teen spoke just four times to say 'yes' to questions from the court clerk.

The court case overshadows the past few days that have been filled with tributes to the much-loved teacher from colleagues, students and the mourning nation.
Head teacher at the school Steve Mort, said yesterday: "I want to say on behalf of the pupils, the staff and the governors and of the school that we are overwhelmed by the amazing outpouring of love and affection for Ann from the local community, from friends of the school past and present and from colleagues across the city.
"Over the past 48 hours we have drawn an incredible amount of strength and comfort from all the amazing tributes and messages of sympathy and support that we have received from right across the country and, indeed, the world."
