Friends fear Nicole Kidman to split from hubby

The Grace Of Monaco actress and the country singer, both 46, are said to be living separate lives.

Rumours the marriage was in trouble were fuelled last week when Nicole arrived at the CannesFilm Festival alone to plug her movie about Princess Grace.

To make things worse, critics panned the film and she had no-one close for support.

The couple have been married for eight years and have two daughters together, Sunday, six, and Faith, four.

But friends claim the relationship has come under pressure in recent months because of their workloads.Their packed diaries have kept them apart and led to rows, sources said.

Nicole, who was once married to Tom Cruise, 51, was due to be on the BBC’s Graham Norton Show this Friday but has now cancelled her appearance.

A show spokesman said they had been told that Nicole was unwell.

But a source said: “It’s clear she didn’t want to face questions about her marriage.

“It seems she and Keith really are on shaky ground.

“Keith didn’t appear to want to free up one day in his schedule to be with her in Cannes when she needed his support the most.”

Last night agents for the couple failed to return calls for comment.
